Description
Discover our Pecan Vinegar and Salt! The pecan nut is the nut of the pecan tree, a tree native to the southern United States and Mexico, in the same family as the walnut tree (hence its resemblance to the common walnut, but with longer, mahogany-colored kernels). Originally, the pecan tree thrived around the Mississippi River, and its nuts were eaten by the Algonquin Indians who called them Pakan (hard-shelled nut). It was introduced to Europe in the 16th century by the conquistadors.
