Roasted Cashews, Half Salt. Exceptionally large cashews from Brazil, delicately dry-roasted and carefully salted. The cashew nut, or cashew apple, is the nut of an Amazonian tree: the cashew tree. Containing a smooth, light-colored, crescent-shaped seed, it develops at the end of edible false fruits called cashew apples. The cashew-apple complex resembles an "upside-down heart," hence its name (ana- = upside-down, -carde = heart). In the 16th century, the cashew tree was first exported by the Portuguese to their colonies in Africa and India.

Origin: Brazil. Ingredients: Cashew nuts and salt. May contain traces of: wheat flour (gluten), soy, sesame seeds, and peanuts. Warning: Cashew nut consumption is not recommended for people allergic to peanuts, tree nuts, or hazelnuts.
